It was my first weekend in Italy and Alex and I planned to catch the 6:15am train to Florence, we had booked the slow train and it was cheaper which was due to take 3.5 hours to get to Florence. Unfortunately, both Alex and my bus cancelled and by the time we ordered taxi’s to the terminal the train had departed. We had to pay for a new ticket but this time decided we may as well do the fast train that would only take 1.5 hours and so we got more of the day.
Insane views within the first few minutes of entering Florence.
Alex and I spent close to 3 hours in the same park as there were possibly 50 different routes.
There is a bridge which has shops build onto it so as you cross the bridge you can look at the amazing jewellery.
Food most certainly has not disappointed once since being here. Especially the multiple gelato’s we got in Florence throughout the day, pistachio and hazelnut is a personal favourite of ours.
Although we were only there for one day we made the most of it and had an amazing time.
Wow!!! I love this keep the blogs coming . So proud of your courage and adventurous spirit to see the world – proud Mama who is missing you like crazy
